With operations spanning over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities, IRC\u2019s Afghanistan program began in 1988, supporting child protection, education, economic wellbeing, health, and empowerment across 10 provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br>The MEAL Officer will support the design, development, and implementation of project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning tools, coordinate evaluations and surveys, and ensure quality data management, learning, and accountability across IRC programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design, develop, and update MEAL tools with guidance from the Senior MEAL Officer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in diagnostic studies, evaluations, and surveys.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Host reflective practice forums and compile lessons from project activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate community-based monitoring and evaluation processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure timely execution of monitoring events, including surveys and evaluations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide technical assistance on information management and data collection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct data verification and ensure data quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extract and analyze project data, train staff in data management, and follow up on trackers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead client feedback collection and response processes at the provincial level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up and improve feedback mechanisms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct regular focus group discussions with stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capture and share best practices and lessons learned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize orientation and training for field staff and volunteers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science\/IT, or related fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 2\u20133 years of MEAL experience in NGOs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, KOBO\/Commcare).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and report writing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent thinker, problem-solver, and technical communicator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with log frame analysis and MEAL planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in conducting assessments;
